Poster Abstract Submission

All submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the KSBNS Scientific Program Committee after the submission deadline. Abstracts may be accepted, rejected or returned for revision.

All KSBNS student members and postdocs are eligible to apply for the KSBNS Outstanding Poster Awards, regardless of their nationality and residency. Applicants must submit an extended abstract that includes additional data for their research project, within 1-2 pages. Previous awardees should refrain from applying with similar content.

After an initial evaluation by the KSBNS Scientific Program Committee, selected abstracts will be further assessed by judges during the poster presentation sessions.

The KSBNS Outstanding Poster Awards recognize graduate students and researchers who excel in scientific communication through a well-structured and informative poster that highlights the significance of their research findings. Award winners will be formally acknowledged during the closing ceremony and will receive a certificate and a cash prize of 100,000 KRW.

Oral Abstract Submission

The KSBNS Scientific Program Committee will accommodate 10 oral presentations this year. To encourage the participation of young scientists, the Scitech Korea Best Oral Presentation Awards will be granted to selected presenters, with a cash prize of 500,000 KRW for each awardee. All KSBNS student members, postdocs, and research professors are eligible to apply for this award, regardless of their nationality and residency. Previous awardees should refrain from applying with similar content.

  • Applicants for these awards must submit:
    • An updated CV that includes preprints (with the applicant's name highlighted in bold).
    • An extended abstract providing additional data or information on the significant concepts of their research.

All oral abstracts will be reviewed by the KSBNS Scientific Program Committee after the submission deadline. Abstracts may be accepted, rejected, or returned for revision based on the committee’s evaluation.

  • Selection criteria for oral presentations include:
    • Scientific excellence
    • Clarity and effective communication of research findings

Selected presenters will be assigned to thematic symposium sessions based on the coherence of their research topics. Failure to present without prior notification after being selected may result in restrictions on participation in future KSBNS conferences.

Applicants whose oral presentations are not selected will have the option to present their work as a poster if they wish.

Confirmation of Receipt of Submission

A confirmation email, including the abstract submission and number, will be sent to the submitter and the corresponding author(s) immediately after submission. If you do not receive a confirmation email, please do not submit the abstract again. Instead, please feel free to contact the secretariat at neuro@ksbns.org for any inquiries.

Withdrawal of Abstracts

To withdraw an abstract, submit a request via email to the secretariat before the abstract submission deadline. If the request is made after the deadline, the abstract will be marked as ‘WITHDRAWN’ in the conference proceedings.
